Below are the team that make up Renown Materials Handling. They are able to help with design enquiries and technical information, as well as being able to see your project through from conception to completion, on time and within budget.

John is the Managing Director of Renown Group, a multi-faceted group of manufacturing companies operating across a range of sectors.

John is the Managing Director of Renown Group, a multi-faceted group of manufacturing companies operating across a range of sectors.

In this role, he has a hands-on and proactive approach to overseeing the management of each of the companies, including Renown Materials Handling. John has over thirty years of experience working in the oil and gas, automotive, material handling and industrial security sectors in various operational and general management roles.

Qualifications:
BSc – Mechanical Engineering
CEng – Chartered Engineer
MBA – Master of Business Administration
MIMehE – Member Institute of Mechanical Engineering

Jimmy Sinclair

Operations Manager
Our Operations Manager, Jimmy, is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing site in Cramlington and the Group’s welding jobs.

Our Operations Manager, Jimmy, is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing site in Cramlington and the Group’s welding jobs.

He manages all operations and coordinates engineering schedules, including Renown Materials Handling’s.

Jimmy has 28 years’ experience as a welder and fabricator and has worked his way through the ranks at Renown to management level, enabling him to demonstrate his experience and knowledge where necessary.

As the Manufacturing Manager at our Cramlington site, Dave is responsible for making sure that production lines are efficient, and that manufacturing processes are running smoothly.

As the Manufacturing Manager at our Cramlington site, Dave is responsible for making sure that production lines are efficient, and that manufacturing processes are running smoothly. He ensures that production follows appropriate workflow and assembly methods across the site for all of the companies, including Renown Materials Handling. Dave began as an apprentice CNC turner at Renown Group in 2006, from which he has progressed to become Manufacturing Manager.

Mark Young

Quality Manager
Mark is responsible for quality control at the Cramlington facility. He ensures that all quality assurance and quality control requirements are being achieved in line with the ISO 9001-2008 approved QMS.

Mark is responsible for quality control at the Cramlington facility. He ensures that all quality assurance and quality control requirements are being achieved in line with the ISO 9001-2008 approved QMS.

Mark has 27 years’ experience in engineering, having served an apprenticeship specialising in machining and fitting.

This experience has become of great value in problem solving and suggestions for improvement to manufacturing techniques.
